About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2532483 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless food service delivery to our customers.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to health and safety standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as ongoing coaching and development to enhance their skills and performance.

Inventory Management and Quality Control

Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Customer Service and Conflict Resolution

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Work Schedule and Staff Management

Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient service delivery.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking

Perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.

Physically Demanding

Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to lift and move objects as needed.

Experience and Qualifications
  • 1 to Less than 7 Months of Experience

Minimum 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Support for Persons with Disabilities

Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.

Support for Youths

Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.

Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Support for Mature Workers

Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.

Support for Visible Minorities

Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
