About the Role:

As a key member of our team, the Dispatcher plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of buses to ensure timely and efficient transportation of students
  • Counsel and coach drivers and monitors to ensure high levels of customer service and safety
  • Manage heavy phone and radio traffic, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with operations supervisors and contract managers to resolve scheduling and driver complaints
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major contracted customers, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Perform a range of administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and reporting
  • Assist with the supervision of day-to-day operations, providing support and guidance to team members as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, such as transportation, logistics, or customer service
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment and software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
