About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Corporate Engineering team at Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership and direction for major capital project installations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide clear direction and accountability for major capital project installations, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  2. Engineering Studies: Conduct phased engineering studies of projects for North American facilities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  3. Business Relationships: Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and contract resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  4. Project Closure: Ensure projects achieve business benefits prior to closure, through effective project management and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Project Management Expertise: Recognized expertise in project management for industrial facilities, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Five to ten years of related industrial, engineering, or contracting experience, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Skills: Strong commitment to cost savings, profit improvement, and delivery efficiency, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

This role requires occasional travel (20%) overnight, primarily within Canada. You will spend considerable time in heavy manufacturing environments and construction job sites, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
