Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, your duties will encompass:
  • Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to strategize project planning (scope, timeline, and budget) with guidance from a Project Director and the Heritage Team.
  • Effectively overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitoring all project expenditures to ensure adherence to budget; securing additional funding when necessary.
  • Creating, managing, and utilizing a project monitoring system to track project advancement concerning timeline and budget.
  • Implementing diverse financial and accounting processes to manage DSO, variances, and project multipliers.
  • Establishing and adhering to a formal change management protocol.
  • Formulating and executing project support strategies (health and safety, quality assurance, risk management, communication, documentation, etc.).
  • Directing projects alongside technical teams to ensure timely delivery within budget while meeting the technical specifications of clients, Indigenous organizations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and project teams to provide support and direction.
  • Offering leadership and mentorship to junior project personnel.
  • Engaging in WSP's Health & Safety initiatives, exemplifying a commitment to safety.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably within a large and diverse organization.
  • A passion for archaeology and cultural heritage, with experience working alongside Indigenous communities.
  • Exceptional project planning and organizational capabilities; proven ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Software.
  • Experience with Horizon Oracle or similar accounting systems is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
  • Ability to foster a positive team atmosphere.
  • Experience in engineering or environmental consulting and/or a PMP certification would be beneficial.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (British Columbia): $119,200 - $163,900

The final salary for this position may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and organizational needs. The salary range provided may be subject to change for business purposes.
