Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Counselling Specialist to join our team in Kamloops, BC. In this role, you will provide short-term counselling services to clients dealing with various issues within the framework of the Telus Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

About the Role

This permanent full-time position reports directly to the Regional Clinical Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing in-person counselling services to diverse clients;
  • Managing administrative requirements in line with Telus Health clinical models;
  • Fostering a work environment that supports diversity and inclusion;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work;
  • The ability to set short-term objectives and use a solution-focused approach;
  • The capacity to clinically manage high-risk cases, including those who may pose a threat to themselves or others.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Personnel Security Screening conducted through the Government of Canada, as per Telus Health Solutions Data Center Security Policy. Note: All team members working at Data Centres or having access to sensitive information will require this clearance.
