About the Role:The Senior Specialist of Occupational Health & Safety will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, safe work procedures, policies, and training to ensure a healthy and safe workplace. This includes:
- Developing a roadmap to add to our existing safety program
- Building relationships and trust with various stakeholders, including people operations, joint health & safety committee, casino health & safety committee, first aid attendants, leaders & employees
- Developing and delivering training to leaders and employees on health & safety awareness, identifying, reporting, investigating and mitigating hazards, injuries and near misses
This role requires a strong understanding of WorkSafeBC requirements and the ability to elevate health & safety awareness among our employees.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A proven track record of building health & safety programs, developing policies & procedures
- The ability to inspire others to action and apply a risk-based approach to everything you do
- Effective communication skills, able to build relationships while tailoring your approach to adapt to various individual personalities and styles
- The ability to manage your time, prioritize, develop and execute roadmaps while also responding to ad hoc requests
We offer a competitive salary range of $82,108 - $128,294 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a defined benefit pension plan, flexible leave programs, and opportunities for professional development.
