About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our Amazon Compensation Technology team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a development team responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering critical features of our compensation management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled software developers to design, develop, deploy, and support key features of our security management system.
  • Drive the implementation of different compensation products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on new projects.
  • Connect with customers on a regular basis, build the roadmap for the team, and mentor junior engineers.

The Amazon Compensation Technology team enables Amazon to realize its goal of compensation: attracting, motivating, and retaining talent. We provide the products and services necessary for calculating and managing every compensation change activity in the lifecycle of all global Amazon employees.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services and 2+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
