Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our pelvic health physiotherapy team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in physiotherapy and a passion for working with patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. They will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our team of physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Implement therapy treatment plans for individual patients and groups of patients.
- Work with a delegated caseload of patients, within agreed guidelines to progress patients treatment and to report back to the qualified therapist on the patients progression.
- Carry out clinical assessments, and subsequently implement a relevant treatment programme, including therapeutic handling and the use of specialist equipment or tools.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and modernisation of the service by contributing to training and induction programmes and being involved in audit and evaluation activities.
- Work to local policies and procedures, for example those regarding manual handling, lone working, etc.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of Level 5 Foundation Degree in a relevant area.
- Experience working in a therapy setting with an in-depth knowledge of therapeutic principles.
- Experience of working in an NHS environment.
- Experience working with the perinatal population and/or with those who have symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction.
- Experience working with those with barriers to communication.
- Experience of delivering groups (educational and/or exercise).
