Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our pelvic health team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and treatment for individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapy treatment plans for individual patients and groups, working within agreed guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop relevant treatment programs, including therapeutic handling and the use of specialist equipment.
- Assist qualified therapists with a range of duties, providing enhanced skills of direct care and support for patients.
- Contribute to the health and safety agenda by promoting a safe culture and undertaking specific tasks, such as COSHH.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders, respecting their views, autonomy, and culture.
Requirements
- Minimum of Level 5 Foundation Degree in a relevant area.
- Experience working in a therapy setting with in-depth knowledge of therapeutic principles.
- Understanding of exercise rehabilitation principles and prescription.
- Ability to motivate patients and work as part of a team.
