Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Driver to join our team at CENTRA FOOD MARKET (BARRIE) INC. as a key member of our refrigerated goods transportation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Refrigerated Goods: Safely operate a straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) to transport refrigerated goods across various routes.
  • Route Planning and Optimization: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service to clients, ensuring timely delivery of goods and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate driver logs and inspection reports.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and repetitive tasks.
