Collision Repair Technician

Port Moody Collision is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized workspace, free from hazards and obstacles.
- Repair and Replace Body Components: Use specialized tools and equipment to repair or replace damaged body components, including front end components, body components, doors and frame, and underbody components.
- File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: Use various techniques and tools to smooth out body surfaces, preparing them for painting.
- Mask and Tape Auto Body Surfaces: Apply protective coatings and tape to prevent damage to surrounding areas during the painting process.
- Hammer Out Dents and Defects: Use blocks and hammers to remove dents and defects from vehicle bodies.
- Remove and Replace Damaged Fenders, Panels, and Grills: Use specialized tools and equipment to remove and replace damaged exterior components.
- Repair or Replace Interior Components: Restore interior components, including seats, carpets, and trim, to their original condition.
- Straighten Bent Frames: Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames and restore vehicle stability.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
- Language: English.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, initiative, reliability, team player.
