About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician to join our team at Port Moody Collision. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining your workspace.
  • Repair and Replace Body Components: Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame, and underbody components as needed.
  • File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Prepare Surfaces for Painting: Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Repair or Replace Interior Components: Repair or replace interior components, including damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Operate Soldering Equipment: Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • Straighten Bent Frames: Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive body repair industry.
  • Equivalent Experience: Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be required to work in a dusty and noisy environment, with exposure to odours.
