About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to join our team at Port Moody Collision. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining your workspace.
  • Repair and Replace Body Components: Use your expertise to repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame, and underbody components.
  • File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: Use specialized equipment to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
  • Prepare Surfaces for Painting: Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Repair or Replace Interior Components: Restore interior components to their original condition.
  • Repair or Replace Damaged Windows, Windshields, and Sunroofs: Use your skills to repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Operate Soldering Equipment or Use Plastic Filler: Use soldering equipment or plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • Straighten Bent Frames: Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive body repair industry.
  • Area of Work Experience: Body components, doors and frame, frame straightening, front end components, metal cutting, underbody components, and welding.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, initiative, judgement, reliability, and team player.
Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a dusty and noisy environment with odours present.
