Urban Planning Opportunity

Our client, a reputable and award-winning consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join their team. As a talented Intermediate or Senior Urban Planner, you will be responsible for managing a full range of Planning Act applications, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments. You will also undertake research, planning policy analysis, report writing, and technical report review, as well as urban design guideline review, application preparation, and community engagement in support of development proposals and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Planning Act applications, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments
  • Undertake research and planning policy analysis
  • Prepare and review technical reports and urban design guidelines
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Ontario
  • Registration as a Professional Planner is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
