Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
  • Work with staff from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue
  • Support existing customers and partners to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business
  • Cold-call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify business opportunities and generate warm leads
  • Negotiate and close business deals
  • Develop and maintain a rapport with new clients
  • Source and respond to RFPs at a national, provincial, and municipal level
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
  • Handle client objections and resolve conflicts
  • Predict clients' future needs and devise strategies to meet those needs
  • Set sales targets and provide sales support
  • Liaise with senior management to determine organizational strategy and initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date on the company's current product and service offerings
  • Work with technical staff and colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Attend industry functions and provide feedback on emerging trends

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the automotive aftermarket sector or a related industry
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics, or a related field
  • Proven understanding of the industry and track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
  • Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning
  • Ability to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
