Job Summary:

Northern Health Region is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to assume the role of Charge Nurse in our healthcare team. This challenging position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

Job Description:

The Charge Nurse is accountable for coordinating patient care on the unit, planning discharge services with other agencies, using resources effectively, and giving direction to and supervising the activities of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate care on the unit and plan discharge services with other agencies
  • Use resources effectively and give direction to and supervise the activities of others
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current active practicing registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Current certification from a recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider, or obtain within three (3) months of commencing employment
  • Two (2) years recent experience in applicable department/unit/program
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Satisfactory employment record required

What We Offer:

Northern Health Region offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid vacation time.
