About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and certified Medical Imaging Specialist with expertise in performing nuclear medicine procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct a range of exams, including bone scans, brain imaging, thyroid tests, and more.

You will be working closely with our dedicated team to ensure that all patients receive exceptional care. As a Medical Imaging Specialist at MyHealth Centre, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing patients for examinations, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Operating nuclear medicine equipment and maintaining quality control
  • Performing various scans, including I131 thyroid treatments and MUGA's
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Responsibilities

In addition to the above, your responsibilities may include:

  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy protocols
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on patient outcomes
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Certificate of Registration with the relevant provincial association of medical radiation technologists
  • Experience in general nuclear medicine procedures and patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
