We are seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator Assistant to join our team at Naylor's corporate head office in Oakville. This role is responsible for coordinating various health and safety initiatives and providing support to the HR team.
About the Role- Assist with the coordination of all health and safety related initiatives, including the H&S Excellence program and Safety Bulletins.
- Act as a point of contact for all health and safety compliance websites and pre-qualifications.
- Conduct office inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Draft company policies related to health and safety.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including updating training records and coordinating training initiatives.
- Maintain an inventory of PPE supplies for all offices.
- Facilitate new employee health and safety orientation.
- You must be enrolled in a University Degree in Occupational Health and Safety - Co-op (4 year preferred).
- Previous related co-op experience is an asset.
- You should have strong administrative skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask are essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Relationship-building skills and attention to detail are also necessary.
The estimated salary for this role is around $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
