Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role involves developing and implementing business development strategies, managing and delivering municipal projects, and monitoring and managing overall workload and staffing levels within the department. You will be responsible for working with Leaders and other Managers to support inter-office collaboration and resource/work sharing to balance workloads and meet project delivery objectives.

You will also be accountable for the overall financial and operational performance of the department under your direction, including being responsible for overall resource management, including recruitment, staff development, performance management, and salary review process. Additionally, you will proactively commit to creating a positive work environment and support and/or develop Health & Safety programs.

This role requires travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed.

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering with 10 + years of consulting and/or municipal experience
  • At least 5 years of managing and mentoring technical staff
  • Registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario
  • Strong knowledge of the GTA and surrounding regional municipal clients and markets
  • Municipal Engineering design and construction experience is essential with specific experience related to water, sanitary, and stormwater projects
  • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable interacting with public agencies, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
