Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to our employees, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead employee lifecycle events, including new hires, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and procedures.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and redirect to the most appropriate team member as needed.
  • Develop and implement new employee orientation processes, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Maintain the HRIS system, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and providing support for reporting and analytics.
  • Act as a point of contact for staff regarding policies and practices related to pay, vacation, holidays, and other working conditions.
  • Provide support for RSPs and benefits programs, including benefit enrollment, maintenance, and communication initiatives.
  • Ensure HR programs and initiatives comply with provincial and national legislation related to human resources.
  • Manage electronic timecard systems, tracking and approving hours, vacation time, sick time, and personal leaves as required.
  • Provide support and advice to senior HR team members and senior management as needed.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, screening, evaluating, interviewing, and recommending applicants.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Distribute and maintain the corporate Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Assist with company HR initiatives and training activities.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • 3-5 years' general human resources experience, with a preference for construction industry experience.
  • CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • HRIS experience is preferred.
