Job Title: Family Service Worker

Job Summary:

The Family Service Worker is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children by working with families to address identified risks. This position requires a strong understanding of child and family services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with families to identify and address risk factors that may impact the safety and well-being of children.
  • Develop and implement case plans to support families in achieving their goals and improving their overall well-being.
  • Provide support and counseling to families, as needed, to help them navigate challenging situations.
  • Collaborate with community resources and other stakeholders to ensure families receive the support they need.
  • Prepare and present court reports and other documentation as required.
  • Participate in case conferences and other meetings to discuss family progress and plan for future support.
  • Ensure all files and documentation are up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work (BISW) degree.
  • Recent and satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse, and Driver's Abstract Clearance.
