Job Description
As a Truck Fleet Mechanic Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Dufferin Concrete's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they remain in top condition to meet our operational needs. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and conducting repairs on ready-mix trucks through preventative and scheduled maintenance.
- Removing, reworking, and installing various engine and chassis components.
- Utilizing leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns and source required parts.
- Documenting repairs on work orders and completing inspections sheets as necessary.
- Communicating with operations and supervisory staff on equipment availability.
- Prioritizing jobs and working safely on all equipment.
- Following shop procedures and company policies related to Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A valid 310T Truck & Coach license or a registered training agreement.
- A valid class 'G' Driver's License.
- A sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a safety-first approach.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- The ability to travel to local sites as required.
