CASA Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of mental health care for children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct supervision to provisional psychologists to support their development and registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
- Collaborate with supervisees to develop supervision plans, oversee the therapists' development and implementation of mental health assessment and therapeutic treatment plans, and complete necessary documentation.
- Identify core skills within therapeutic stages to support high-quality clinical service delivery and encourage supervisees to use new or different skills and interventions.
- Assess and problem-solve factors impacting the clinical supervision relationship, working with supervisees in a trust-based and safe environment.
- Ensure a holistic and high-quality model of assessment and treatment planning that is family-centred, trauma-informed, and inclusive of biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors.
- Follow organizational policy and practice regarding admission, discharge, and maintenance of health records.
- Adhere to the standards of supervision practice and the CAP code of ethics.
- Incorporate evidence-informed, best practice models into clinical practice, ensuring clinical care remains consistent with CASA policies and procedures.
- Graduate degree with a major in psychology.
- Member in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Status as an approved supervisor in good standing is required.
- Five or more years of experience delivering child and/or adolescent mental health services.
- Knowledge and experience supporting the healing of children and youth who have experienced trauma.
- Knowledge and experience in therapeutic modalities for treating children and youth.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
