We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to critically ill children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Minimum of two years recent acute nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric ICU setting.
- Successful completion of a post-basic ICU course is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working with children and families in a pediatric ICU setting.
- Knowledge of pediatric critical care nursing practices and procedures.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
