Pediatric ICU Nurse

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric ICU Nurse to join our team.
Job Summary:The Pediatric ICU Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data.
- Participate in code blue and other emergency situations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Minimum of two years recent acute nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric ICU setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Post-basic ICU course completion.
- Experience with pediatric nursing software and equipment.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing research and best practices.
