As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will be responsible for assessing and providing consultation, recommendations, and interventions to pediatric clients in their homes and schools using evidence-based best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school and be a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. They will also possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage their caseload effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards established by VHA and regulatory colleges.
  • Implement client interventions based on assessment information, client input, and integrated care plans.
  • Ensure services provided are best practice, evidence-based, and evaluated through routine use of valid and reliable outcome measures.
  • Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and organization.
