Closing the Gap Healthcare is dedicated to providing Canadians with high-quality home-based and community setting services. As a leading provider of healthcare solutions, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Mississauga or Burlington.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who can bring their integrated approach to therapy services to our clients' homes. Our ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team that fosters a work environment that is inclusive and diverse.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, developing health promotion programs, prescribing equipment and supplies, and promoting client safety. They will also have the chance to partner with clients' family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals and service plans.

With a hybrid model of care that includes face-to-face and virtual visits, you will have the flexibility to build a schedule that suits your needs and those of your clients. We value independence and flexibility while providing dedicated support, mentorship, and training systems within a stable team from multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Avoid unnecessary hospitalizations by providing quality care in the comfort of clients' homes
  • Develop accurate therapy care plans based on clients' real environments
  • Assess and solve problems that interfere with clients' ability to perform daily activities
  • Partner with clients' family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals and service plans
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Post-Secondary program in Occupational Therapy
  • Current active registration and good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle

Estimated annual salary: $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
