Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide database administration support for our MS SQL databases, collaborate with the development team, and design, develop, and maintain stored procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide database administration support for multiple MS SQL databases, ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain stored procedures for customer reporting and software solutions.
  • Compose and improve stored procedures in SQL, monitoring their performance and optimizing database processes.
  • Draft ad-hoc queries as requested and develop automation scripts to streamline database tasks.
  • Operate code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Provide application support for our enterprise system and other applications, including data maintenance, user account administration, and incident management.
  • Ensure the enterprise system's compliance with internal and external security accreditations and policies.
  • Support continuous improvement by assisting developers and analysts in conceptualizing and developing new enhancements.
  • Keep knowledge base and work instruction documentation up to date.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of application support experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • College degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Database Administration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 through 2019.
  • Experience in designing and implementing database structures and automating DBA tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of large-scale enterprise systems, such as ERP or CRM.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated good customer service experience and application of industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Experience in developing technical documentations for training and end-user procedures.
