Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is seeking skilled Application Administrators to enhance our digital health initiatives. This role is pivotal in providing advanced administrative and technical support for various applications within our healthcare framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tier 2 administrative and technical assistance in response to escalated service desk inquiries.
  • Coordinate and document the implementation of upgrades or new application installations as part of a collaborative project team.
  • Manage incidents and problems escalated by the service desk, ensuring thorough investigation, resolution, and documentation.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members to keep stakeholders informed of progress and solutions.

Current Focus Areas

Our immediate needs are concentrated in clinical digital solutions, particularly for acute and specialty care applications, including pharmacy systems, electronic patient records, and surgical information management systems.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information analysis, data management, and ensuring data quality and integrity, with proven experience in supporting applications at both tier 1 and tier 2 levels.
  • Experience with large ICT projects, hospital information systems architecture, and the use of electronic health records is advantageous.

Educational Background

  • A post-secondary diploma in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Health informatics education and familiarity with vendor-specific applications are considered assets.

Skills and Attributes

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities within a team environment, aligned with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment, with occasional travel required across the province.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet the needs of the healthcare system.
