Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Attendant III to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, unpack, and check incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring that supplies/goods are delivered as per specifications and completing related paperwork.
  • Sort and place articles in appropriate areas, rotating stock and maintaining inventory shelves/areas in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Check invoices against orders and supplies/goods, resolving discrepancies with suppliers and/or departments.
  • Assemble, issue, and ship supplies/goods from requisition requests received, loading orders onto carts for delivery and completing required documentation.
  • Identify damaged/spoiled goods and advise appropriate personnel, arranging for delivery and return of loan and return items and returning damaged or spoiled goods to supplier as required/directed.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and maintain inventory records, replenishing stock based on established minimum/maximum levels and advising when established re-order points are reached.
  • Maintain records and provide information regarding stores activities, ensuring correct coding on stock items and maintaining security measures.
  • Pick up and deliver a variety of supplies and/or materials to and from various locations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Transport a variety of supplies and/or materials to and from delivery locations by operating a variety of vehicles, including trucks up to 10,000 lbs or 4536 Kg gross vehicle weight.
  • Perform routine inspection/maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment, recommending vehicle and equipment repairs as required and maintaining related documentation.
  • Keep assigned stores area(s) and goods and supplies in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, providing input/feedback to the Manager (or designate) on work procedures and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with orienting new staff by performing duties such as demonstrating work procedures and demonstrating use of equipment.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license with no restrictions.
