Healthcare Planner

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Planner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing proposals and project plans that support clinical, support service, and administrative change proposals and business cases.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of clinical, support service, and administrative program planning, space planning, furniture, and clinical equipment planning and coordination skills. They will also have experience in conducting and/or leading design studies and post-occupancy evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop proposals and project plans that support clinical, support service, and administrative change proposals and business cases.
- Assess current and future workload, functions, standard operating procedures, processes, and recognized standards to develop a plan to meet program needs.
- Use comprehensive understanding of clinical, support service, and administrative program planning, space planning, furniture, and clinical equipment planning and coordination skills to develop functional programs.
- Assist SDOs and healthcare organizations to prepare capital project requirements.
- Participate in an objective planning prioritization system to align all SDO requests, the Manitoba Clinical and Preventive Services Plan, and Subject Matter Expert capital needs into a single planning prioritization.
- Five years of providing facility planning, program development, and design, including at least 2 years on acute, long-term, and community/primary-based healthcare projects.
- Experience in assessing existing environments, comparing current needs relative to regulatory and standards compliance, and identifying alternative space uses.
- Experience with computer-aided drafting and design programs (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, etc.) and project planning software (MicroSoft Project), and budgeting tools (Excel, RS Means).
- Certification in Evidence-Based Design considered an asset.
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Appropriate registration with provincial professional licensing body, or certification body.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle with ability to travel throughout Manitoba by vehicle and airplane.
