Job Title: Gameplay Engineer

We are seeking a talented Gameplay Engineer with a solid foundation in game development to design, build, and maintain robust gameplay systems. As a key member of our development team, you will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and engineers to refine game mechanics throughout the development cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect new game systems in alignment with project goals.
  • Refine and improve gameplay systems throughout the development cycle to enhance user experience.
  • Work closely with designers, artists, and other engineers for feature development and implementation.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and portable code while following industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug gameplay issues to ensure smooth and responsive performance.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing content creation tools and workflows.
Requirements:
  • 35+ years of experience in game development in a Gameplay Engineer role.
  • Robust programming skills in C++ with strong architecture, system design, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and portable code.
  • Strong debugging skills to quickly identify and resolve complex gameplay issues.
  • Must be available to work within the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to Eastern Time Zone (EST).
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Modern C++ Standards and best practices.
  • Strong math skills (Linear Algebra, Vector Math, Probability) for gameplay system development.
  • Prior experience developing content creation tools in collaboration with tools engineers and designers.
  • Experience developing games for multiple platforms (PC, Xbox, etc.).
