Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at The Curry Pot. As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and maintain a clean and organized dining area
  • Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
  • Inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Maintain accurate financial records and handle customer payments
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries about menu items and preparation methods
  • Coordinate seating arrangements for large groups and ensure timely service
  • Greet customers and make them feel welcome
  • Manage customer reservations and assign tables
  • Process customer payments and handle cash and credit transactions

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions

  • Standing for extended periods and physically demanding tasks
