Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) Program Overview

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is proud to offer the Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program, a Ministry of Health (MOH) funded program designed to support new nursing graduates in transitioning into practice.

Program Benefits

  • Extended orientation and training to ensure a smooth transition into practice
  • A dedicated Nurse Preceptor to provide guidance and support during the NGG transition period
  • Access to RVH's comprehensive orientation program, including General Hospital Orientation, Interprofessional Orientation, and Unit-specific Orientation
  • Participation in RVH's Nursing Mentorship Program, pairing you with an experienced nurse for guidance and support throughout your first year
  • A 3-day Simulation Workshop to enhance your clinical nursing skills

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university or college
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) within the last 12 months, in the General or Temporary Class prior to start date
  • Eligible for the Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) Program
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • Membership with the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) or other professional nursing associations preferred
