Senior Manager, Community Relations Specialist

EightSix Network is a leading organization in the field of community relations and stakeholder engagement. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Community Relations Specialist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, Community Relations Specialist will be responsible for leading and supporting the development and implementation of our organization's communications and engagement plan. This includes stakeholder mapping and management, outreach and engagement efforts, and public engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and engagement plan to achieve our organization's goals and objectives.
- Lead outreach and engagement efforts with identified stakeholders to develop close and collaborative working relationships.
- Support public engagement efforts and coordinate stakeholder participation in design and construction planning activities.
- Serve as a liaison between our organization's discipline leads and key stakeholders to understand respective interests and needs.
- Establish a performance accountability and reporting framework for engagement activities and requirements.
- Advise on engagement requirements for contracts and identify emerging issues/risks and develop solutions to mitigate impacts.
- Represent our organization at community outreach events, stakeholder and community meetings, and deliver internal briefings as needed.
- Produce outreach/engagement/stakeholder materials, such as Issues Notes, Briefing Notes, and Project brochures.
- University degree and significant experience in community, stakeholder, and government relations.
- Direct experience in leading successful engagement activities with multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on a major project with broad and complex engagement issues.
- Proficient knowledge of risk management practices and senior-level experience in analyzing stakeholder engagement risks/issues and developing solutions to mitigate impacts.
- Sound judgment, and excellent organizational, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must be eligible to permanently work in Canada.
