Job SummaryThe Catering Manager will be responsible for managing and executing corporate and incentive markets for Fox Harb'r Resort. This role will provide a one-stop-shop for clients, including writing contracts, setting up room blocks and catering files, collecting deposits, and preparing banquet event orders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage room blocks and space blocks for assigned groups
- Negotiate food and beverage prices, function space, and hotel services within approved departmental booking guidelines
- Attend weekly BEO and Resume meetings to work closely with banquet department on operations and meeting execution
- Conduct site inspections for booked events and host planners as required
- Develop a working relationship with clients to facilitate the booking of future business
- Coordinate with planners to develop service schedules for events and customer event resumes
- Work closely with Resort departments involved in servicing the groups to update operating departments of any revisions to meeting or event arrangements
- Attend to pre-conference briefing meetings and provide clarity on BEOs to ensure proper financial posting of meeting planner accounts
- Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
- At least 2 years of experience in catering and/or conference services
- Knowledge of resort suites, food and beverage products, and meeting room capabilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
