Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a General Farm Worker. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our crops, ensuring the highest quality produce for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers and other crop treatments to promote healthy growth and development
  • Clean and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors and harvesters
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, such as housing and transportation
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including language training and skills development
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a variety of weather conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
