About the Role

CASA Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional clinical services to children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social mental health assessments to identify individual and family needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client, incorporating evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for children and families, promoting healthy relationships and coping skills.
  • Carry out case management functions, including advocacy and support for clients and their families.
  • Act as an active, contributing member of our inter-professional team, participating in regular meetings and consultations.
  • Follow agency policy and practice regarding admission, discharge, and maintenance of health records.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduate degree in social work, occupational therapy, child and youth counseling, addictions counseling, or psychology.
  • Experience working in a clinical practice setting and in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
  • Membership in good standing with a professional association/college, or eligibility for membership.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification, as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
