Gecko Hospitality is a leading hospitality group in Canada, and we are seeking a talented Chef to join our team in Prince George, BC. As the Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing a high-functioning kitchen, ensuring perfect execution, and delivering unmatched product knowledge.
Our menu features globally inspired flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients, reflecting our commitment to the culinary arts and hospitality. As the Head Chef at Gecko Hospitality in Prince George, you'll be responsible for a wide array of duties on a day-to-day basis. You'll manage the overall operations of our kitchen, ensuring the utmost quality and execution of our globally inspired dishes.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspirational leadership in all aspects of culinary operations, instilling a positive culture and role modeling hospitality.
- Take the lead in hiring, training, and scheduling culinary team members for all positions.
- Collaborate with other leaders to drive outstanding daily culinary operations.
- Maximize long-term profitability through excellent leadership and mentorship of your team.
- Maintain the highest level of food quality execution and support ongoing culinary skills development within your team.
- Identify and develop high-potential individuals into leaders.
- Ensure the use of fresh, top-quality ingredients while balancing day-to-day operational costs.
- Over 3 years of experience leading a culinary team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated skilled business sense in inventory management, food cost, labor and scheduling, and variable costs.
- Proven leadership skills in developing people and motivating them to perform at their best.
- Deep passion for maintaining the highest level of food quality.
- Energetic, upbeat, and ambitious individual.
- Strong communication skills with a patient and understanding approach.
- Track record of achieving both professional and personal goals.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
