Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Leader to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments for various industries, including oil and gas, hydro, forestry, transportation, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments
- Identify areas of archaeological potential and archaeological sites
- Collect and manage data
- Collaborate with local First Nations
- Write interim reports and communicate with Field Directors and Permit Holders
- Promote a strong safety culture and work collaboratively within Ecofor's corporate culture
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Archaeology or Anthropology, or a relevant field
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Desire to grow the business and work closely with other environmental professionals
- Experience in Cultural Resource Management (previous experience crew leading in CRM is an asset)
- Familiarity with the provincial heritage assessment regulatory environment in British Columbia and/or Yukon
- Experience with handheld GPS units, mapping software, pedestrian survey, subsurface testing, excavation, and systematic data collection
- Ability to conduct strenuous fieldwork in various field conditions
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software
- Valid Driver's License
