Director, Business Support

As a key member of the Finance Leadership team, the Director, Business Support will lead financial planning and decision support for Northern Health. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide input and recommendations to the Executive team, senior leadership, and physician leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial planning and decision support for Northern Health
  • Provide input and recommendations to the Executive team, senior leadership, and physician leaders
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic priorities
  • Stay up-to-date with Canadian generally accepted accounting principles and practices, public sector accounting standards, and financial policies, legislation, and government directives
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or a Masters Degree in relevant discipline (MHA, Leadership, MBA)
  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant managerial accounting experience within a large complex multi-site organization, preferably in a healthcare environment, and in positions with increasing leadership responsibility
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Starting salary will be approximately from $116,591 to $145,739 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions
