About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cook to join our team at Auberge du Pommier. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our fine dining kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Provide guidance and support to junior cooks and kitchen staff
    • Work collaboratively with the Sous Chef and Chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to meet the standards of our restaurant
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Inventory Management and Safety
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
    • Adhere to strict sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with new recipes, techniques, and menu trends
    • Participate in menu planning and development
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • Excellent knife handling skills and knowledge of professional cooking techniques
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
  • Serve Safe certification
