About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals to support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification
  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Where there are no applicants with provincial certification, we may consider candidates who are eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within 1 year from their date of hire.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $25.70.
