Technical Support Specialist for Point of Care Diagnostics

At KNG Technical Inc., we are seeking a skilled Clinical Applications Specialist to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and provide exceptional customer support.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in clinical knowledge and technical skills. As a Clinical Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for performing on-site application studies and lab evaluations for various products. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless integration and validation of our solutions with customers' existing systems.

You will work closely with field sales teams to add value to the sales process, providing technical expertise and support to drive business opportunities forward. Additionally, you will take a leading role in developing Centers of Excellence and championing Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development within your territory.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, is also essential. Your ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner will be valuable assets in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site application studies and lab evaluations for all products
  • Correlate results to alternative reference methods
  • Benchtop interference studies
  • Linearity studies
  • Provide onsite customer training
  • Develop and maintain customer training materials and documents
  • Streamline validation requirements for products and ensure a smooth transition to customers' technology
  • Present performance data obtained during on-site applications studies to prospects and current customers
  • Analyze data in support of clinical applications objectives
  • Enter activity details and call steps taken to resolve problems and answer questions in software platforms
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or industry experience
  • MLT or RT qualification with appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant clinical knowledge and/or experience within the POC diagnostics industry
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Exceptional priority and time management skills
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory

Please note that preferred qualifications include 4+ years of related experience in the diagnostics industry, clinical laboratory bench experience, and/or POC experience. Competency with statistics and basic familiarity with linear regression analysis are also desirable.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
