The Radiation Therapist plays a critical role in the delivery of cancer treatment, ensuring that patients receive accurate and precise radiation therapy. This involves preparing patients and their charts for treatment, fabricating accessories, and operating complex equipment such as CT scanners and radiation units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of treatment plans, dosimetry, and outputs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Radiation Therapy from a recognized program, be licensed and registered with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals, and have excellent working knowledge of relevant computer software programs. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

What We Offer

Nova Scotia Health offers a competitive compensation package, including up to $20,000 in incentives, up to $5,000 in relocation assistance, and enrollment in the Provincial Pension Plan. We also offer a variety of available shifts and opportunities for advancement within the organization.

Hours

Permanent full-time positions are available, with 75 hours biweekly. Full-time long assignments are also available, with 75 hours biweekly.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of $50.66 per hour. They may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
