The Radiation Therapist plays a critical role in the delivery of cancer treatment, ensuring accurate and precise preparation of patients for radiation therapy. This involves fabricating accessories, treatment localization, data entry, and treatment delivery using various technologies.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist with a strong educational background in Radiation Therapy. Key qualifications include a graduate degree from an accredited program, licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals, and excellent computer software skills.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate accessories for radiation therapy
- Perform treatment localization using conventional simulators and CT scanners
- Enter data into record and verify systems and online image acquisition systems
- Deliver radiation therapy using external beam therapy and brachytherapy
- Handle radioactive sources and teach students
- Graduate degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals
- Excellent computer software skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $43.45 - $50.66, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, travel, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
