Job Summary

Southbridge Pinewood is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Organize and direct care-related functions and activities to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care as needed.

Requirements

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but not required.
  • A strong passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with a comprehensive understanding of duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
