We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care while following established protocols and maintaining physicians' orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action to address any concerns.
- Organize and direct functions related to the provision of care to residents, including coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and implement training programs for new staff, focusing on best practices and resident-centered care.
- Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
- Registration/eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Developed problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
