Job Summary:

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Pinewood in Thunder Bay, ON. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional resident care and promoting a positive living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate appropriate health measures.
  • Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with nursing and personal care staff to manage workloads and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, with knowledge of duties and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
