The role involves assembling, integrating, and testing complex automated machinery and tooling systems. As a skilled engineer, you will translate engineering drawings and schematics into functional machinery, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing design drawings and collaborating with engineering teams to implement necessary changes for improved functionality and efficiency.
  • Sourcing and organizing materials for machine assembly.
  • Using various fabrication equipment, such as plasma cutters, lathes, and MIG/TIG welders, to create parts.
  • Testing and inspecting parts to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Assembling automated machines using established design packages and tooling kits.
  • Identifying and resolving build challenges, making modifications as needed.
  • Engaging in meetings to track project progress and risks.
  • Participating in design reviews to assess mechanical designs and suggest improvements.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Contributing to creating efficient plumbing layouts for machinery.

To be successful in this role, you should have over three years of experience as a licensed Millwright (433A) or Tool & Die Maker (430A). Ideally, you have experience in automation manufacturing, combining machine building, metallurgy, welding, and health and safety protocols with the ability to interpret blueprints, perform rigging and hoisting, manage time effectively, solve problems proactively, communicate clearly, and lead teams both independently and collaboratively.

BOS Innovations offers a competitive salary range of $37-$45 per hour, with overtime paid out at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 40 hours. We also provide a 3% company matching RRSP program, among other benefits.
